  • University of Duisburg-Essen

    The Interactive Systems and Interaction Design Research Group

    The Interactive Systems Group at the University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany) conducts research in the areas of human-computer interaction (HCI) and interactive technologies, with the aim of creating highly usable, enjoyable and smart forms of interacting with digital applications, media and products. Under the head of Prof. Ziegler, the group follows an interdisciplinary approach in close co-operation with academic and industrial partners.

    Smart Information Systems among others engages in research projects, such as SOFAR, OPDM and EcoWeb, with the University of Duisburg-Essen.

    Institute of Computer Technology

    The Institute of Computer Technology (ICT) is part of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Technology, Vienna (Austria). The research topics among others comprise Software Engineering, Requirements Engineering, Systems Engineering, Semantic Systems and Autonomous systems.

    Smart Information Systems currently participates in the research project SOFAR with the University of Technology, Vienna.

  • Universität der Bundeswehr München

    E-Business and Web Science Research Group

    The research group "E-business and Web Science" at Universität der Bundeswehr (Germany), lead by Prof. Hepp, is among the leading institutions in the field of Semantic Web-based E-Commerce. Prof.Hepp developed parts of today's GoodRelations-Ontology within the research project myOntology, working closely together with Smart information Systems. GoodRelations is a standardised vocabulary for product, price and business data, which is used and recommended by major technology companies i.e.Google, Yahoo, BestBuy, O'Reilly and Overstock.com.

    Smart Information Systems among others engages with the E-Business and Web Science research group in the research project OPDM .

  • TIE Holding N.V.

    Since more than two decades, TIE Holding (The Netherlands) delivers innovative solutions for Business-to-Business Integration, Data Synchronisation and Content Syndication. The company closes the gap between online and traditional business processes and enables all trading partners in the supply chain to seamlessly work together at minimised costs. This includes major e-commerce processes, such as marketing, sales and fulfillment.

    Smart Information Systems and TIE currently participate in the research project OPDM.

  • STI Innsbruck

    Semantic Technology Institute

    The Semantic Technology Institute (STI) Innsbruck is a world leading research institute working on the Semantic Web, Semantic Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures.

    Smart Information Systems currently participates in the research project SOFAR with the STI.

  • The Austrian Economic Chamber

    The Austrian Economic Chamber (WKO) is part of the Economic Chamber Organisation and represents 400,000 member companies.

    Smart Information Systems has worked with the Austrian Economic Chamber on the project ebSemantics. The aim of ebSemantics was to provide Austrian enterprises, especially SMEs, with means to easily take part in Semantic Web-based E-commerce.

    CURE is one of Europe’s leading organizations in the area of User Experience Research, having gained years of experience in the fields of Usability Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Interface Design, User Centred Design and Ambient Assistant Living Research. CURE has been working on the development and application of user-centered design methodologies for several years.

    CURE is a competent partner for evaluating and optimising the User Experience and Usability of our SMARTASSISTANT solution.

    Information, Design & Technologies

    FH JOANNEUM (Austria) pursues a range of application-oriented research and development activities geared to meet the needs of business. There is a large pool of competence among others in the areas of interface engineering, information visualization and software development.

    Together with the FH JOANNEUM, Smart Information Systems has developed innovative and creative concepts for online product advisory.

  • Research Studios Austria Forschungsgesellschaft

    The Research Studios Austria Forschungsgesellschaft mbH (RSA FG) manages innovations from universities into markets. The RSA FG collaborates with businesses regionally, nationally and internationally in the area of eTechnologies and Smart Media.

    In conjunction with RSA FG, Smart Information Systems has explored solutions for future challenges in E-Commerce.
